Fall Season Round-Up

We have had a great Fall season. As we head into
November, I just wanted to update everyone on
league activities.
-Our player numbers are up over 30% from the previous Fall season. We have had more youth and adult players register and participate this year. Our numbers can be seen by increased participation in our age divisions of 10, 12 and 14 and under, and our new adult recreation league.
-Food Bank Drive: We are in the home stretch of our food drive. So far, we have contributed 160 pounds to the Maui Food Bank. Let’s keep up the good work and bring in as many canned goods as possible in the next two weeks.
-Mahalo to our volunteers who helped with two recent events. Our Car Wash Fundraiser was a great success. Thanks to all the players and families who washed over 150 cars to support our league. The funds raised will go towards clinics for youth and adult players as well as coaches. Also, mahalo to our families and adult players who volunteered at the recent XTERRA World Championships. It was a fun day at Ulupalakua Ranch working the water stations for the athletes.
-Rink Clean-Up day: November 15 beginning at 9AM there will be a rink repair/clean-up day. We especially need the help of our adult players this day. In order for the rink to function season after season, we need to do some maintenance and cleaning so we can continue to provide access to hockey and public skating. Please speak to Coach John or Rick to sign-up.
