Mahalo for another great season. Our Fall 2008 season ended with some great playoff and championship games. A special thanks to our volunteers, referees, coaches, players and parents. Congratulations to the 10 Under Islanders, 13 Under Ducks, and Adult Team Dano on their championship wins. Hope everyone has a safe holiday season. October was a busy month off the rink. On Thursday October 2, MIHA participated in the County Fair Parade. We skated down Kaahumanu Ave. to the cheers of the crowd. Our Fall 2008 Fundraiser Car Wash was held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 10am-2pm at the Mauka end of the Azeka Shopping Center. Thanks to everyone who helped out with these events. Hope everyone has had a great summer! Maui Inline Hockey Association's Fall 2008 season is about to kick off. Sign-Ups will be held Thursday August 28 from 5:30PM-8PM at the Rink. This is a great time to check out your equipment and fix or replace it.

Practice Schedule:
10 Under: Monday 6-7:30PM
13 Under: Tuesday 6-7:30PM
18 Under: Tuesday 7:30-9PM

The Season will run September 2-November 20, 2008. Game nights will be Thursday with the first season game beginning September 18 at 5:45PM.

In order to help us out we are asking all players youth and adult to process their USA registrations online this year. You can do so by visiting the USA Hockey website: https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/inline/index.jsp
Once registered, you can print and bring down your USA registration form. You will still need to fill out our Maui registration form and waiver as well.

News and Events:
-We will once again be having a Car Wash Saturday October 18. Tickets will be given to players at sign-ups. Pre-Sale those Tickets!!!
-Thanks to Coach Chris for running a summer youth pick-up hockey session
-The adult men's league will be taking two teams to Oahu for a Labor Day Tournament. Stay tuned for results
-SMYLE- South Maui Youth Expo will be held Sunday August 24th, 8AM-1PM at the Kihei Community Center. Check out our table and bring your friends. Sign-up forms will be available at the event.

Maui Inline Hockey Association would like to welcome teams from Oahu, Kauai and Hawaii to the 2008 USA Inline Hockey Regional Tournament being held June 6-8 at Kalama Park in Kihei. USA Hockey has posted the game schedule and you can download the PDF version HERE. We will be holding an opening ceremony celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the Kalama Park skating rink. It will begin at 5PM on June 6, recognizing past volunteers and dignitaries who helped build and continue to support the inline skating rink. All players, coaches, league directors, and families are invited to attend. Following the opening ceremony, there will be a tournament dinner next to the rink at the Pavilion, along with entertainment by two time Grammy Award winner Uncle Richard Hoʻopiʻi.

Congratulation to the League Champs: 10 Under Leafs, 12 Under Canucks, 14/16Under Flames, and in the adult league, Team Dano. We are preparing for our upcoming All-Star tournament being held here on Maui, June 6-8.
